Project: Web copy for Seattle’s maven of interior redesign, Sara Eizen of Nest
The Point: Speak to the needs and frustrations of busy moms who need interior design and organizing help without pretense or a hefty price tag
Highlight: Watching Sara’s business grow like gangbusters once she fully committed to the target market she most adores. (But I never say “I told you so.” Well, almost never.)
Check out the Nest website.

Project: Content strategy, research, and copywriting for a series of friendly in-store educational flyers for the Bay area’s Elephant Pharmacy
The Point: Provide accessible, relevant information to help consumers make informed health and buying decisions
Highlight: Using my knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and natural products while learning more about toilet paper and decongestants than I could have possibly imagined.
Read more: echinacea flyer, folic acid flyer
Project: Fanciful wine descriptions for an online wine retailer
The Point: To create mini stories that invite the wine lover to share in a spirit of romance and adventure
Highlight: Pretending that I was traveling the world drinking wine with dark, hunky men when I was actually sipping tea at my laptop, solo.
Project: Brochure for Seattle’s greatest move management company, Assisted Transitions (now part of Bekins Northwest)
The Point: To sell the company’s same great services to a brand new target market: young urbanites and first-time home buyers
Highlight: The fun we all had lightening up the message for this new audience while remaining true to the client’s mission and values
Check out the brochure.
Project: Product descriptions for hip health and beauty products
The Point: To create informative, concise descriptions that are as smart and sassy as Sweet Spot devotees (click image to the left to enlarge)
Highlight: The challenge of fusing facts and fun in as few words as possible
