HEALTH WRITING

Health writing can be a little bit like kale.

Full of good intentions, for sure. But rubbery and hard to swallow without the right prep and attention.

I began working in the health and wellness field almost 25 years ago—long before kombucha was queen.

And for the past 15 years, I’ve been copywriting, editing, and brand strategizing with an interesting mix of clients and creative agencies. That’s all to say, I understand what it takes to make your healthy message (and kale, for that matter) stand out and shine.

Here’s the thing:

When it comes to talking about health and wellness, it’s easy to say too little or too much. To be either too buttoned-up and bland, or too touchy feely, too far out.

Whether you make muffins or magic carpets, fix broken limbs or broken hearts, the chemistry between you and your audience is what matters the most. This is where I come in.

I can help:

  • Educate or inform without sounding too preachy or dry

  • Add clarity and/or consistency to obscure or esoteric concepts

  • Put a human voice to a technical product or service, with integrity and accuracy

  • Highlight what’s unique about your work even if there’s a cloud of competition close by

  • Hone in on the people you most want to serve, increasing both profit and fun
